I started off looking for a tutor at the start of year 11. My results from the previous year without a maths tutor were anywhere from 4 to 6 and 6 being my best work. i decided to try a maths tutor to help me, i tried three different tutors before julia and none of them taught the way i was looking for, with the correct level of detail, supporting me and making me for once begin to enjoy the subject and want to learn more. they also didnt help my grade`s improve after working with them for a number of months. But the way julia taught, it was the exact way i wanted. she knew when the go back down to basics on specific topics and when to push me, which helped me increase of knowledge of the subject and be comfortable with any sum or problem faced on a maths paper. Julia taught me every possible detail i would need to know for gcse maths and also pushed me with some more advanced questions. julia made me enjoy the subject, improve my grades and inspire me to debate doing maths A level. after working with julia for a number of months, my gardes were begging to turn into 9s and 8s. as i am now expecting a 9 in my gcse results. this all wouldnt be possible without julia and i owe her a big thank you and i couldnt recormend her more as a maths tutor because she really has inspired me.

Julia is absolutely inspirational. Although she is tutoring both of my children, I actually went into the study after she'd finished last week and started to work out the challenge she'd set!!! Two hours I was in there without even realising. Julia is a strong person and uses that strength to positively engage with my children in a way that gets the most from them. They are able to explore topics that their school teacher can`t spend time on, neither of my children`s maths Teachers are particularly good, one actually tells my daughter that she `hasn`t got what it takes to do well`, which is a terrible thing to say. However, Julia is our saviour and she engages my daughter and believes she should be studying for the Higher exam. This is building up her confidence as well as her knowledge.
